Abstract

The following article discusses theoretical approaches of international relations together with foreign policy analysis. To understand a state's international behavior, we argue that studies should go beyond the separate analysis of domestic-external factors and objective-subjective interests that explain its foreign action. For this, we propose a foreign policy approach that includes the critical and constructive theories of international relations as a means of obtaining a wide but parsimonious view of the states international behavior.
