Iraq como colonia iraní. Las finanzas internacionales como arma geopolítica

Resumo

 

Tras la invasión de Iraq en el año 2003 y el proceso de de-Baa­thificación, los sectores chiíes de la sociedad iraquí consiguieron consolidar su poder. Lo anterior permitió el principio de la colonización iraní de Iraq que se va fortaleciendo por fases. En este artículo se ofrece una adaptación de las aportaciones de Mearsheimer de la guerra, el chantaje, el bait and bleed y, especialmente, del bloodletting como una de las claves del acercamiento multifacético de Irán a su pretendida hegemonía regional. Para desarrollar lo anterior, se complementa con el estudio del aspecto económico de la situación tanto de las sanciones económicas como de la devaluación de la divisa iraquí y las consecuencias que lo anterior puede tener para EEUU en la región.
