Abstract

The main objective of this study is to describe the experience of activity workshops with trans youth, aiming to understand the possibilities of occupational therapy action with this population. This is a participatory research, which took as its privileged field of investigation the interventions of an extension project, which develops its actions with young people marked by difference. The research data were developed in the first half of 2024, from weekly meetings, recorded in a field diary, and later analyzed in light of the theoretical frameworks of social occupational therapy and gender and sexuality studies. As axes of analysis of the experience, the group as a social support network and; the expansion of diverse repertoires were discussed. The results announce the activity workshops, dynamics and projects as a powerful resource and methodology in the production of possibilities with these young people, above all, in the strengthening and creation of social support networks, and in the expansion of the repertoire of actions and more critical perspectives, in the context of daily life.
